AFT Impulse Overview

This robust dynamic simulation and analysis software calculates pressure surge transients in liquid piping systems caused by water hammers. It evaluates the effect of pressure surges due to vapor cavity collapse by modeling vapor cavitation and liquid column separation. You can reduce surge magnitudes by adjusting systems component transients such as valve closure time or pump speed and quickly animate or visualize a water hammer event to improve fundamental understanding.
